OPEN INVITATION

BE INSPIRED AT @MICHELLES.INTERIORS

When Wednesday feels like it should be Friday ... let your home do some of the work tonight.

Years as a professional counselor before I ever designed a room taught me something I still use every day: what you see at the end of the day affects how you feel at the end of the day.

Three resets you can do in the next ten minutes:

1. Clear the one surface you see most. Island, coffee table, or nightstand. Put everything in a basket or drawer for now. Sort it tomorrow.

2. Add something soft. Pull a throw onto the sofa, close the drapes, and move a pillow or two to where you’ll actually sit.

3. Overheads off, lamps on. Light from the side feels calmer than light from above.

That’s my living room, tonight. And my rescue pup Rowdy. Puppy snuggles are my favorite.

Which one are you doing first? 🐶

Save this for the next long week.

Make your closet worth waking up for. 🔑

Make your closet worth waking up for. 🔑

Cold cream.

Skincare likes to stay cool, so I tucked a refrigerated drawer right into the vanity. Serums, eye creams, and the good stuff you save for special occasions all live at your fingertips while you're getting ready. Brass pulls to match the rest of the bath, and a marble top that makes every morning feel a little more luxurious.

Face time.

One long partner desk and two leather chairs pulled up across from each other, so the workday comes with a little company built in. I wrapped the whole room in teal, ceiling included, and it feels like the kind of study you'd happily lose an afternoon in. A brass sunburst overhead and a painting that pulls every blue in the room together. Swipe for a closer look at the built-ins.

Poster child.

A four poster bed in pale wood frames the room without closing it in. I kept everything around it soft: layered linens in blue and white, a woven pendant hanging low over the nightstand, and just enough texture to make you want to crawl in early. Swipe to see the bedside setup, fresh flowers included.
